Decorations as interior wayfinding PostNL, AA-building The Hague
The PostNL AA-building on the Prinses Beatrixlaan in The Hague is being extensively rebuilt, with the catchy project name WalhallAA. After the recent signage and decoration of the sustainable TNT Centre in Hoofddorp, VB&VH have been assigned the internal signage and (wall)decorations of the 21 floor AA-building. VB&VH are responsible for development, production, execution as well as the application of this complex project. Close cooperation between PostNL and design agency VBAT, has lead to a very special concept, where strongly enlarged postage stamps are the Leitmotiv on walls and glass partitions in elevator portals, pantries and on the shop floors, but also area numbers, directions and picto’s. Concept, design and execution make any further wayfinding almost redundant. They show the way by themselves.

The elements are alternately connected in 3 or 5 part segments.
An optimally flexible system that is being applied in an increasing number of buildings, and which is of course directly related to similar interior and display applications for exhibition purposes.

More than 10.000 elements were delivered in the colours magenta and NS-blue (Dutch Railroad); varying from special V-shaped signs to longwearing floor transfers with a diameter of 1 meter. For 4 combined metro/railroad stations in Amsterdam, i.e. Bijlmer Arena, Duivendrecht, Amstel and Lelylaan, VB&VH developed, produced and installed special signing above the check-in gates. Thus guiding all Metro and NS travelers to the correct gates and destinations. Mijksenaar Waysigning was responsible for the design. Large floor transfers, varying in size from 2 x 1 to 6 x 1 meters, give additional information, as these are often already visible from the platforms, like for example in Bijlmer Arena Station. A test and trial period preceded this very successful "tour de force", where substantial traveler groups were "confronted" with visuals and colour schemes. Extensive questionnaires eventually decided the average travelers perception, with regard to visuals and colour. On 30th September everything was 'on track'.

Great interest shown by the secretary of state and city councillor for the 'ultimate' voting booths
Dutch Secretary for European Affairs, Frans Timmermans and the Amsterdam City Councillor, Freek Ossel followed the assembly process of the new voting booths with great interest. During the guided tour Pantar Amsterdam showed the set up and execution of the assembly, on behalf of VB&VH, were organized and how a joint control system was developed. After the tour there was an informal exchange of ideas with Mr. Timmermans with regard to possible expansion in the European market. Both Frans Timmermans and Freek Ossel complimented VB&VH and Pantar on the inspiring symbiosis that has developed between the two companies. But they were particularly enthusiastic that, especially in this time frame, there are still entrepreneurs in the Dutch/Amsterdam region, who do not sit back, but dare to develop new products as well as putting them on the market. Expansion into the European market is a serious option. There was an extensive media coverage around this company visit. April 2009

As a joint product development of VB&VH together with Rene Bubberman of Fabrique Design Agency, this collapsible, feather light, though stabile product is an enormous success. On 20th October 7,000 pieces had been sold and growing. Also our own LED product 'The Lighttube', which can be clicked easily into the booth frame, and burns (battery powered) continuously for 14 hours, with a beautiful light source spreading, is a great success. Hoofdkantoor NWE, Bank Gebouw Acanthus ING
This feast was dedicated to those inhabitants in the biggest need.

There were drinks and snacks for everybody.
It was the biggest party in the village's history. An unforgettable happening for both the organisers and the inhabitants.
